Privacy Policy

ThriveThyme (thrivethyme.app) is a garden planning reference operated with support from Spruce Software Solutions. This policy describes what the app actually stores and sends, based on how the product works today.

Data on your device

You can use ThriveThyme without an account. In that mode, your selected hardiness zone, garden list, planting dates, garden layouts, optional garden type, notes, reminder preferences, and language choice stay in your browser or device storage (localStorage). That data is not sent to ThriveThyme servers unless you later create an account and use cloud-backed features.

Optional accounts

If you create an account, we collect the name and email address you provide, store a password hash (not your plain password), and keep session records that may include IP address and user-agent for sign-in security and abuse prevention. Account data is used only to provide sign-in, cloud-backed storage, and related security features you chose to enable. An auth token may be stored on your device after sign-in.

ZIP codes and weather

You may enter a ZIP or postal code to look up a USDA hardiness zone or local weather outlook. Weather requests send the ZIP needed for that lookup to weather and location services. No ThriveThyme account identity is sent with that ZIP-only request. If you save a ZIP to your account, we keep it until you delete your account or clear it in the app.

Affiliate links

Some seed shopping links open Seeds Now with ThriveThyme's affiliate tracking parameters (Refersion rfsn and related UTM tags). Those outbound clicks go to Seeds Now. ThriveThyme does not sell your garden list to advertisers. Ads, if ever shown, are limited and are not part of the planner core.

Analytics and cookies

The web app relies on essential browser storage for the features above. ThriveThyme does not currently load a separate third-party analytics pixel in the core planner. Server logs may record technical request data (such as IP and user-agent) as part of normal hosting and security.

Deletion

You can delete your account from the account menu. That removes your server-side account record, including any saved ZIP, and signs you out. Local garden data on the current device remains until you clear site or app storage. A deletion help page is at Delete Your Account.

Children

ThriveThyme is a general gardening tool and is not directed at children under 13. Do not create an account for a child under 13.
