ThriveThyme can be used without an account. In that mode, your selected zone, garden list, planting dates, and reminder preferences stay on your device. If you choose to create an account for cloud-backed account features, we collect the name and email address you provide so the app can identify your account. You may also provide an optional ZIP or postal code to populate your planting zone automatically and show local weather details.

Account data

Account data is used only to provide the account, sign-in, cloud-backed storage, and related security features you chose to enable. Account passwords are stored only as password hashes. Session records may include IP address and user-agent data for security and abuse prevention.

ZIP and weather data

When you request local weather details, ThriveThyme sends the ZIP code needed for that request to weather and location services. No user identity is sent with that ZIP code request. If you save a ZIP or postal code to your account, ThriveThyme keeps it until you delete your account or request account deletion inside the app.

Deletion

You can delete your account from the account menu in the app. Account deletion removes your server-side account record, including any saved ZIP or postal code, and signs you out. Local garden data on your device remains available unless you clear it from your browser or device storage. A web deletion-help page is available at Delete Your Account.
